Watermelon Pizza is a fresh and healthy dessert “pizza” the whole family can enjoy! On a hot summer day there is nothing better than a thirst-quenching slice of watermelon am I right?! The only thing better is dressing it up with yogurt and additional fresh fruit as it’s not only makes it look pretty but it’s also really delicious!
Watermelon is naturally full of electrolytes and with the addition of the yogurt (adds protein), and the fresh fruit (adds vitamins) this Watermelon Pizza has a good balance of healthy nutrients which make it a great option for healthy dessert or snack!
Watermelon Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 watermelon
- 1 cup coconut flavoured yogurt vanilla yogurt is also an option
- 1/3 cup strawberries sliced
- 1/3 cup blackberries
- 1/3 cup blueberries
- 2 kiwis chopped
- 1 tbsp coconut flakes optional
- 1 small handful fresh mint optional
Instructions
- Cut a large slice of watermelon 2-3 inches thick with a sharp knife and then cut into individual slices
- Using a spoon spread an even layer of yogurt on the sliced watermelon
- Top with fresh fruit, coconut flakes, and mint or whatever your favourite toppings are!
